Boilermaker/Welder – Currum Downs

TalentBlue provides long term labour hire services for Mining, Construction, Transport, Manufacturing & Engineering Sector delivering Managed Services, Permanent and Temporary Recruitment. The TalentBlue team source the highest calibre in talent that add value and enhance our client’s business.
 

We currently have vacancy for a Boilermakers with Mig and fabrication experience to work on our client site based out of Currum Downs. The ideal candidate will have come from a similar working environment who is looking to diversify their trades knowledge.

 

ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK! MUST FABRICATE AND MIG, EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

To be considered for these roles it is ideal that you possess the following:

  •     Trade qualifications required with demonstrated experience

  •     Fabrication and welding experience (MIG welding)

  •     White Card

  •     Able to start immediately

  •     Professional attitude towards work

  •     Able to commit long term to the contract

 

PayRate: $56.67 + Super + OT DS $50 + Super

Hours: AFTERNOON 3pm – 12am Monday to Friday + OT

DAYSHIFT 6am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday + OT (Sat optional)

Boilermaker/Welder Melbourne

Working as a Boilermaker/Welder Currum Downs you will produce metal (ferrous and non-ferrous) fabricated products such as structures, frames, plate assemblies, pipe-work and vessels using tools, welding and thermal cutting equipment and fabrication techniques. Welds are undertaken to pre-determined standards and may be tested for compliance to required standards. Boilermakers/Welder Currum Downs use a wide range of hand tools and hand held power tools and workshop machines such as drills, grinders, clamps, benders and lifting equipment.

 

What is the Difference Between a Boilermaker and a Welder?

BOILERMAKER

The work of a boilermaker can be physically challenging since it often takes place in small spaces and extreme temperatures. Boilermakers are often called due to an emergency with a boiler system. Their work can also involve assembling pre-made boilers rather than creating them from scratch, with some pieces requiring metalwork to be installed. Some boilermakers work in water treatment or air treatment facilities and may be tasked with reducing pollution from factories or improving water treatment plants.

WELDER

Welders bond metal parts together by melting the metal, assembling the pieces, and allowing the metal to solidify while holding the pieces together. Welding is used in almost every aspect of manufacturing and is commonly used in transportation industries to produce ships, automobiles, and aircraft. Welders may work outside in inclement weather and in cramped quarters.
