We currently have vacancy for a Fitter & Turner to work on our client site based out of Dandenong. The ideal candidate will have come from a similar working environment who is looking to diversify their trades knowledge.

The ideal candidate will possess the following key requirements.

•     Experience within a heavy maintenance workshop

•     Have a trade qualification

•     Experience in operating Manual Vertical and Horizontal Borers, Lathes and Milling Machines

•     Experience in machining small and large parts to tight tolerances

•     Competent in using measuring equipment

Fitters are skilled craftspeople, who use technical drawings, design specifications and blueprints to cut, shape, assemble, and fit metal components to fabricate machinery parts and other equipment.

Fitters are classified into the following types:
